Stillness in the Roar of Experience

Kirkus Reviews calls the memoir: "A hypnotic collection of crystalline thoughts on the nature of living."

A sick man measures the universe one idea at a time. In 329 short passages, he questions the conventional notion of God and challenges science on its claim of neutrality. He explores simple living, ecstatic feelings, oneness of perception, and the sense of spaciousness from an awakened mind.

The Natural Trajectory of Human Consciousness

Escape repetitive reality through a series of strange stories that may also enlighten. They include a man who falls into layers of dreams, a woman who kills to quiet her mind, someone who finds a back door to his own body where all his hopes and dreams are buried, and a woman who wakes up to the true nature of her mind upon dying. Also in the mix are an old man who gets lost in a dollhouse and a young man who turns into a lizard and discovers the taste of rain.

The Nonchalant Man Between Worlds

A fantasy story is like a strange painting. It can land us in a collective dream far beyond our usual mindscape.

In the Novella The Nonchalant Man Between Worlds, the protagonist tries to discover the hidden truth. He believes that it is not far away. In fact, he may know it already. He may be staring at it daily. Yet, it can only be illuminated through a series of outlandish events.

The other stories try to pin down the true face of reality. Someone finds spaciousness through love. Another person finds the content of their dreams has migrated out into the open. In yet another story, we are little more than lost souls under the avalanche of words and emotions. Is awakening as close as tilting one’s head a certain way, staying still for a while, or simply having a different thought, or no thought at all, held in one’s mind?
